Ethereum developers have recently brought the estimated date of the blockchain migration to the Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm a few days closer.
Anthony Sassano, co-founder of EthHub, has announced:
“The Merge activation on the Ethereum mainnet is scheduled for tentatively September 15-16.”
The ETH developers agreed that the Bellatrix pre-merger upgrade will take place at epoch 144,896 on September 6.
The actual activation of The Merge will happen with the Paris update, when the cumulative network difficulty indicator (TTD) reaches 58750000000000000000000, which should happen around September 15.
However, these dates are not final.
