Chainalaysis analysts have said that Ether was the most profitable digital asset last year. Investors made a profit from this cryptocurrency in the amount of $76.3 billion.
According to the researchers, moreover, many altcoins showed good performance, but ETH has achieved the greatest success.
Chainalaysis has used data on transactions of investors from different countries. Analysts then assessed the total profit received by traders during the implementation of transactions and distributed it by jurisdiction.
The US has taken the lead. Local investors generated $46.9 billion in ETH trades last year. Next in the ranking are the UK and Germany. Chainalaysis has noted that cryptocurrencies have outperformed other assets in some markets.
Ethereum is followed by Bitcoin, the investment in which brought a profit of $74.7 billion.
