From March 28 to March 31, WWD reports that the second virtual fashion week, MVFW 2023, will be held in the Decentraland metaverse.

This event has been organized in partnership with the NFT marketplace UNXD, much like the first fashion week in 2022. The theme of Metaverse Fashion Week is “The Legacy of the Future” and will showcase the capabilities of open metaverses and expand the boundaries of digital fashion.

A variety of brands, such as Adidas, DressX, The Fabricant, DKNY, Perry Ellis, Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce & Gabbana, and Dundas, will have exclusive collections of virtual clothing as NFTs.

The fashion week will be divided into various zones, with the main location being the podium for the main shows.

Additionally, organizers have promised a “creative center” to bring together up and coming designers. Notably, men’s magazine Playboy has announced the launch of their own metaverse MetaMansion before the end of 2023.
