Escrow Marketplace
Escrow is a secure, anonymous trade platform. it’s a well-known, widely adopted concept outside of the blockchain. It facilitates the secure trade of goods and services between a buyer and seller only when both parties hold up their end of the bargain. While said services address the security problems mentioned earlier and are widely available to the public, buyer identities are always traceable through payment methods and other means. Existing solutions fail to meet one of the blockchain’s leading requirements: anonymity.
AAptitude’s Escrow Marketplace is the first of its kind built specifically to be used on a blockchain. The Escrow service will operate as a marketplace where vendors can set up shop, advertise, and sell their goods and services. Buyers will then be able to browse the marketplace and choose a service or product they would like to purchase.
While sellers must complete AML/KYC obligations before setting up shop, buyers use cryptocurrencies and anonymous wallets to procure their desired products, maintaining anonymity. In the event of a dispute, funds will remain in the Escrow locker until a resolution has been found.
Several notable currencies can be used in the Escrow, ranging from fiat (non-crypto currencies like the U.S. dollar) to tokens such as $AAPT. All transactions via the Escrow service will incur a small 2% fee to cover maintenance and upkeep costs. 1% of this fee contributes to the buyback and burn function of the AAptitude Token.
A marketplace demo is currently available on AAptitude’s website, where sellers can set up shop, and buyers can browse goods and optionally create an account. AAptitude will officially launch the upgraded Escrow Marketplace on the 2nd of May 2022 with pioneer vendors who believe in AAptitude’s mission.
$AAPT
AAptitude is a hyper-deflationary token on the Binance Smart Chain network with plans to work toward increasing safety and security within the cryptocurrency space. However, project longevity is also reliant on community excitement and engagement. Therefore, AAptitude will initially be developing down two separate pathways, implementing a near-completed (final stages of beta testing) video game into the AAptitude ecosystem and deploying an Escrow Marketplace to facilitate secure purchases of goods and services using cryptocurrency.
These two Primary Projects are in the final stages of development. They will be systematically released in stages as the projects develop further. These projects will contribute to the deflation of the AAptitude token through Buyback and Burn functions.
Future developments will include new and exciting ways to interact with the AAptitude token, working on adding value and meaning to holding $AAPT for the long term. Last Gang Standing
Last Gang Standing, in development with TailfinGames, is a product of one of AAptitude’s initial partnerships. Elements of this video game will be intrinsically tied to the AAptitude token, facilitating a Buyback and Burn of the AAptitude token via revenue generated by in-game microtransactions (loot boxes) for cosmetic skins and items to encourage trading in the game.
In Last Gang Standing, users will be able to gather up a group of their friends, build a base, add a factory, some turrets, teleporters, doors, foxholes, and decorations, and then move on out to dominate.
Steam will power last Game Standing, and therefore, in-game purchases will only be available in fiat. However, a portion of these in-game purchases will contribute to a Buyback and Burn of $AAPT. Furthermore, future developments of the AAptitude marketplace will facilitate the purchase of skins/loot boxes with $AAPT at a discounted rate and promote the sale of skins/loot boxes. Ordinarily, players can only sell in-game items in return for Steam credits, so utilizing the AAptitude marketplace will be one of the only ways to sell rare items you have acquired or purchased in-game for exchangeable currency.
The partnership with TailfinGames will mean a higher level of exposure for the AAptitude token as it is finalized and released, including a significant boost in the floor price of AAptitude as its popularity increases. Steam is the most effective platform for publishing a game and exists outside of typical cryptocurrency crowds. Steam will help to bring AAptitude to a more mainstream community while bringing Last Gang Standing to the cryptocurrency community. This relationship works synergistically, supporting each community to trend and be noticed.
