Cryptocurrency custodian BitGo has obtained a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) license from Germany’s Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, enabling it to offer crypto services across Europe.
In a Monday blog post, BitGo announced that the license was awarded to BitGo Europe GmbH, its European branch established in 2023, already registered in several EU countries, including Italy, Spain, Poland, and Greece.
“BitGo is now well-positioned to serve both crypto-native companies and traditional financial institutions like banks and asset managers, providing a secure, compliant infrastructure for engaging with digital assets.”
