Hut 8 Corp., a Bitcoin mining company, revealed on Thursday that it will be partnering with mining rig manufacturer Bitmain Technologies to launch a next-generation ASIC miner called U3S21EXPH.
This model will be deployed in the second quarter of 2025 through a hosting agreement, utilizing the company’s custom data center infrastructure.
This announcement builds upon Hut 8’s existing partnership with Bitmain, with a focus on expanding ASIC technology and integrating artificial intelligence into data center operations.
Hut 8’s CEO Asher Genoot stated that this collaboration has allowed them to think more critically about ASIC computing and develop a more scalable model for data center design.
