According to data from Dune Analytics, the number of wallets on the decentralized exchange (DEX) Uniswap experienced a significant jump from 3.03 million in May 2023 to 7.26 million in May 2024, indicating an increase of approximately 140%.
This surge in Uniswap users aligns with other achievements of the platform, such as surpassing $2 trillion in cumulative trading volume on April 5.
Uniswap currently holds the top position in terms of total value locked at $5.31 billion, with PancakeSwap as the second largest at nearly $2 billion.
As of 1:21 p.m. ET on May 2, the native token of Uniswap, UNI, was trading at $7.09 with a 5.10% increase in the past 24 hours.
However, along with its success, Uniswap has also faced scrutiny in the past year.
