The Chinese government, through Conflux Network, has launched a new public blockchain infrastructure platform. Named “Ultra-Large Scale Blockchain Infrastructure Platform for the Belt and Road Initiative,” it aims to support cross-border applications.

According to a post by Conflux Network on April 1st, the objective of the platform is to provide a public blockchain infrastructure that can facilitate cooperation projects along the Belt and Road Initiative.

It will serve as the basis for creating applications that demonstrate collaboration across borders.

Conflux Network is a multichain blockchain ecosystem operated by the Conflux Foundation, also known as the Shanghai Tree-Graph Blockchain Research Institute.

Despite China’s strict stance against cryptocurrencies, the government has initiated this blockchain project.
