On December 31, Orbit Chain, a cross-chain bridge, acknowledged an unauthorized access breach in its ecosystem through a post on social media.
The post on X (formerly Twitter) stated that the platform is conducting a thorough analysis of the breach in collaboration with cybersecurity startup Theori.
Orbit Chain is actively cooperating with international law enforcement agencies. The blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence reported a total loss of approximately $81.68 million in various cryptocurrencies, including Tether, USDC, and Ether.
Orbit also cautioned users against falling for scam reimbursement offers circulating on social media with similar name handles.
