Former US President Donald Trump has released a second collection of non-fungible tokens – Trump Digital Trading Cards – after his first series of cards generated $4.5 million and over $100,000 in resale royalties.
The new series includes 47,000 NFTs featuring politicians in various guises, with 1000 of them held by developers.
The tokens are created on the Polygon blockchain and are priced at $99. Trump announced that all NFTs were sold out within 10 minutes.
His first NFT collection, which was released in December 2022, caused discontent in both the crypto community and among his supporters.
The trading volume in trading cards surged 440% ahead of his court indictment, with the most expensive lot sold at 23.99 ETH.
