The US division of Canon Corporation has revealed its plans to create a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace on the Ethereum blockchain, named Cadabra.

This week, the first version of the marketplace will be presented at the NFT conference in New York, with the official launch set for the second half of 2023.

The platform will offer a wide assortment of tokenized photos, ranging from wildlife to sports, lifestyle, and landscapes.

Moreover, artists will be able to offer physical copies of images that Canon will print. Initially, Cadabra will be accessible only to US residents, who can make payments with fiat or cryptocurrency.

This news follows Amazon’s announcement that they plan to launch their own NFT marketplace on April 24, with 15 collections available to US citizens.
