Crypto exchange Bitstamp has decided not to introduce a monthly fee for some inactive account holders from August 1 that it had proposed just a few days ago.
Representatives of the trading platform had previously said the company planned to start charging €10 per month from clients who did not trade, deposit or withdraw assets during the year and whose balance was less than €200.
However, the decision made by the exchange did not receive a warm welcome by the community.
Some Twitter said the move was disappointing, while others noted that “desperate times call for desperate measures.”
