Chainalysis to Help Victims of Cryptocurrency Crimes

Reading time: < 1 minute

Analytical company Chainalysis has just launched a 24/7 hotline to support organizations affected by ransomware and crypto-related cyberattacks.

Chainalysis experts will track and tag funds in transit. They will also help connect victims with law enforcement to recover already stolen assets.

The hotline service is separate from Chainalysis’ analytics products, which means that victims do not have to be active clients at the time of the attack.

The company expects the initiative to make it harder for criminals to cash out stolen cryptocurrencies and make it easier to catch them.

Analysts believe that the continued rise in cyberattacks is an obstacle to building confidence in cryptocurrencies.
