According to CoinATMRadar, 32,150 and 2,359 terminals are ready to serve digital currency holders in the US and Canada, respectively. Other countries in the top five include Spain, El Salvador and Poland.
According to the company analysts, in January-February 2022, 1,817 cryptocurrency ATMs were installed, while in 2021, a total 2,435 terminals were launched in the first two months of the year.
The US accounts for up to 93% of the total number of crypto ATMs in the world. Special mention must be made to the fact that El Salvador got into the top 5 after legalizing Bitcoin as legal tender in the country last fall.
The authorities of the country intend to place BTC bonds and attract investments. They will reportedly use these funds to expand the country’s crypto infrastructure, including mining.
