Bitfury Intends to Launch a 28 MW Mining Data Center in Canada

One of the pioneers in the crypto mining industry, Bitfury Group, has just announced the launch of a new 28 MW cryptocurrency mining center in Sarnia (Ontario, Canada).

According to the company, the facility is expected to start operating by the end of this month. The initial power consumption will be 16 MW. However, it should add 12 MW by the end of May.

The facility has the potential to increase its capacity to 200 MW.

The Sarnia facility, which complements the company’s network of crypto mining centers located in North America, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, is fully equipped with specialized software and mining hardware from Bitfury.

Oleg Blinkov, director of development and operation of data centers, has said:

“North America remains an attractive strategic market for Bitfury and the mining industry as a whole.”
