Italian luxury fashion brand Gucci has just purchased a piece of land on the metaverse of the project The Sandbox, Vogue Business has learned.
According to the company, the initiative will allow Gucci to create virtual fashion experiences for its clients. However, the details of such experiences as well as how much the brand has paid for the land still remain unknown.
Reportedly, Gucci, which in May last year become the first luxury brand to sell an NFT in Christie’s, will create digital fashion experiences based on Gucci Vault, which houses the brand’s metaverse projects.
The brand is hiring a manager for its Discord server. According to the job description, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing fans of its NFT projects and requires someone with “experience with community building and managing crypto communities.”
