The US SEC has extended its review period for Solana ETF proposals from Bitwise and 21Shares, setting a new deadline of October 16. The delay, while expected, suggests the agency is carefully evaluating the applications rather than outright rejecting them.
This follows similar extensions for other Solana ETF filings, including those from Grayscale and Fidelity, as the SEC faces a growing stack of crypto ETF proposals—from XRP to DOGE—under a more supportive administration.
Notably, firms have been adjusting their filings to address regulatory concerns, indicating ongoing dialogue with the SEC. With ProShares, 21Shares, and others still in the running, the market remains hopeful for eventual approvals.
