In a move toward regulatory clarity, Senate Banking Committee Republicans have proposed a digital asset market structure bill that may align with the House’s CLARITY Act, passed July 17.
The draft, spearheaded by Sens. Tim Scott and Cynthia Lummis, aims to standardize crypto rules. Scott noted shared congressional goals but acknowledged hurdles: Last week’s House-passed bills saw only the GENIUS Act enacted.
With an October target, the Senate GOP seeks to avoid legislative limbo for crypto oversight.
