President Donald Trump isn’t mincing words: He wants the GENIUS Stablecoin Act on his desk immediately.
After the Senate passed the bill in a landslide 68-30 vote, Trump took to Truth Social with a clear demand:
“The House must send this to me LIGHTNING FAST. NO DELAYS. NO ADD-ONS. America WILL lead the digital asset revolution—get it done!”
The Guiding and Establishing National Innovation for US Stablecoins Act is seen as a major step in securing the dollar’s supremacy in global finance. With Republicans controlling the House by a razor-thin margin, the bill’s fate now hangs in the balance.
Senator Bill Hagerty, its chief architect, says the legislation will “supercharge payments, allowing businesses and everyday Americans to transact in seconds—not days.”
