David Sacks, the White House AI and crypto czar, has affirmed that he holds no crypto assets, having divested all prior to President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“I sold all my cryptocurrency (including BTC, ETH, and SOL) before the administration began,” Sacks stated on X on March 2.

His remarks were in response to a Financial Times article shared by George Hammond on March 2, which noted that Sacks’ investment firm, Craft Ventures, still holds stakes in a “small number of crypto startups.”

The Financial Times reported, citing a knowledgeable source, “Both he [Sacks] and the firm sold their direct cryptocurrency holdings soon after Trump’s inauguration.”

Founded by Sacks in 2017, the San Francisco-based venture capital firm has launched four funds since its inception, with the most recent one closing in November after raising $712 million.
