The SEC has officially concluded its investigation into Uniswap Labs without pursuing any enforcement action.
On Tuesday, Uniswap Labs announced that it is no longer under the SEC’s scrutiny.
The investigation was initiated in April 2024 under the leadership of former SEC Chair Gary Gensler. At that time, Uniswap Labs revealed it had received a Wells Notice from the regulatory body, indicating a potential enforcement action for alleged violations.
The SEC claimed the company was operating an unlicensed securities exchange, engaging in unregistered broker or clearing activities, and issuing an unregistered security without proper authorization.
However, following a comprehensive review, the current SEC administration has exonerated the company of any misconduct.
