Charles Hoskinson, co-founder of Cardano, has addressed rumors that the project’s Hydra layer-2 scaling project had been abandoned.
This statement was made on March 18 through the social media platform X, where Hoskinson confirmed that the development of Hydra was still in progress.
Hoskinson stated that there were videos spreading false information claiming that Hydra had been abandoned, but he assured followers that it was just “pure FUD.”
He also mentioned that the team was highly motivated and productive, with new papers in the works for further improvements to the protocol.
Hydra, which was launched in May 2023, is a Cardano-based protocol that aims to increase transaction processing capacity and decrease transaction costs on the blockchain.
