Optimism, a Layer 2 network built on the Ethereum platform, yesterday completed a scheduled upgrade, called Bedrock.
According to an explainer post, this upgrade included reduced transaction costs.
The process started shortly after 12 p.m. ET and was declared complete around 3 p.m. ET.
Most of the core functions had already returned to the network before 6 p.m. ET.
The Optimism Foundation, however, tweeted that the size of the archival data disk made the process take longer than anticipated.
