The race for Europe’s regulated crypto market is on. On Thursday, Revolut, Blockchain.com, and Swiss Bitcoin app Relai confirmed they have secured crucial MiCA licenses from regulators in Cyprus, Malta, and France.
For Revolut, this solidifies access for its 65+ million users to its crypto services across 30 EEA markets. Blockchain.com stated the license enables it to “scale our services across Europe.”
The approvals provide a clear path for these firms to operate under the EU’s new harmonized rules, moving beyond the grace period that followed MiCA’s enactment.
