The US and UK will work more closely on regulating cryptocurrency. The decision followed a Tuesday meeting between Treasury chiefs Scott Bessent and Rachel Reeves that included top banks and crypto exchanges.
Attendees included reps from Bank of America, Barclays, Citi, Coinbase, and Ripple. The move is a direct answer to industry calls to add crypto to the “US-UK Tech Bridge” to prevent falling behind in the global race to shape digital finance.
Ripple’s Cassie Craddock said the partnership “has the potential to set a template for international cooperation,” boosting the UK’s bid to be a crypto hub.
