Standard Chartered’s innovation division, SC Ventures, is planning a major foray into digital assets with a new $250 million fund.
The fund will focus on financial services and is set to launch in 2026 with backing from Middle Eastern investors, according to Bloomberg.
The announcement was made at a Saudi fintech event, underscoring the region’s pivotal role in funding the next wave of crypto innovation. The bank’s venture arm is also considering additional funds for Africa and venture debt.
