Kanye West (Ye) has launched “Yeezy Money” (YZY), a Solana-based cryptocurrency that serves as the cornerstone of a proposed broader financial ecosystem.
More than just a token, the project’s website outlines plans for “Ye Pay,” a payment processor designed to help merchants accept crypto and credit cards at lower fees, and a dedicated YZY credit card.
The token itself quickly amassed a reported $2 billion market cap following its announcement on X. However, the venture tempers its promises with a legal disclosure, clarifying that YZY is meant for engagement with Ye’s ideals and is not an official investment.
