FTX has secured court approval to distribute an additional $1.9 billion to creditors, with the next round of repayments beginning September 30.

The bankruptcy judge allowed the exchange to reduce its claims reserve from $6.5 billion to $4.3 billion, unlocking funds for the upcoming disbursement.

To qualify, creditors must hold valid claims by August 15, though FTX has not yet specified the exact payout amount for September. The exchange has already returned $6.2 billion in prior distributions, with the total repayment plan targeting $14.7B–$16.5B in recovered funds.

While 98% of creditors will receive 119% of their 2022 claim values, some criticize the plan for not reflecting current market prices. Payments will be issued via BitGo, Kraken, and Payoneer.
