On March 25, the Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe) filed to trade a spot Solana exchange-traded fund issued by Fidelity, using a 19b-4 form. This follows Fidelity’s registration of a Solana fund in Delaware four days earlier.

As of December 31, Fidelity managed $5.9 trillion in assets, making it the third-largest asset manager globally. The firm also ranks second in inflows from spot Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) ETFs traded in the US, accumulating nearly $13 billion according to Farside Investors.

This filing comes shortly after the first SOL-related ETFs began trading in the US. Issuer Volatility Shares launched two products tracking Solana futures contracts, including one offering 2X leverage.
