Brave Software, a web browser and search startup, has laid off 27 employees, which accounts for approximately 15% of its total workforce.
This marks their second round of layoffs within the last year.
Founded in 2015 by Mozilla co-creator Brendan Eich, the privacy-focused company has experienced steady growth and currently has around 80 million monthly active users, up from 65 million at the end of last year, according to their latest transparency report.
Despite its popularity, particularly in the crypto industry, Brave remains a relatively small company compared to competitors like Opera, Firefox, and Google Chrome.
