A Seoul Southern District Court Judge, Kim Ji-sook, issued an arrest warrant on Monday for two employees of the South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Coinone.

Kim Mo, the head of Coinone’s digital asset listing division, and broker Hwang Mo are suspected of violating Korean crime concealment laws and arranging a bribe of 2 billion won ($1.51 million).

This action comes amid increased scrutiny of the cryptocurrency market by the South Korean government, including plans to expand the powers of the Financial Services Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service.
